With the trackpoint stick built into the keyboard I never lift my hands to navigate a mouse, the pointing stick allows me to quickly move the cursor to where I want it to be on the screen. The scroll bar button in between the left and right mouse buttons makes it easy to simply hold in and then use the pointing stick to scroll up and down on web pages or spreadsheets.

I opened the software and tried to re scan my fingerprints, as soon as i have the screen up it says “to short” and then “lift finger” where it will just sit there.

Moving away from the rational factor and onto the usability factor, the biggest concern I had with the biometric security was that it would be a pain to get things setup. Usability is second-to-none with the ThinkPad line and thhinkpad oriented bells and whistles such as multicard readers or widescreen LCDs are shunned in favor of things such as adding keyboard lights, biometric security readers, hard-drive shock protection or other things that generally add to the usability, durability and security of a notebook.
The cooling system of the T43 is not entirely dependent upon the fans.
